Hi, my name is Sadie. I am new to the Yorkie Friends Rescue group and I am having so
much fun. Here is my story: My mom is in jail and my human sister was trying to take care
of me. But she lived in another town and had to work and she had her own life. She tried
her best. See, I have diabetes and I need insulin twice a day. My sister could only give me
my injection once a day. And it was lonely being by myself all the time. I love people!!! So
my foster mom picked me up one day and I have been having fun all the time now. My
foster mom is learning more and more about me everyday and when she knows a lot about
me, she will let you know. I have a vet appointment soon to see if I am getting the right dose
of insulin and to be updated on my vaccines. After I get checked out I will be all set to go to
my new home. I take my insulin injections really well. And I get a treat afterwords so I know
I have to be good to get that. But I promise to love you and always be there.
Now that Sadie has been in our care for a while, I can tell you more about her. She is a
bigger Yorkie than most. She weighs between 12 and 13 pounds. Sadie is 7 years old and
will turn 8 on December 29th. She can be a barker at times but that is because she has an
opinion about everything. But if you tell her to be quiet, she will. Sadie loves to cuddle and
give kisses. She has the cutest underbite (her lower teeth stick out). She is a real character
and there is never a dull moment. She loves to walk on a leash. She is the best little buddy
who just wants to be around her people. Sadie is located in Missouri and her adoption fee
is $200. If you would like more information, please contact slh_shorty@yahoo.com
T.J. came to Yorkie Friends Rescue with Ozzie from the same sad situation. His mom was pregnant and
recently lost her job. She could no longer care for the boys. They were both very scared when they came
to my house. T.J. is a Silky Terrier. He is about 7 years old and weighs about 9 pounds. He is up to date
on vaccines and heartworm negative. T.J. is neutered and had a dental and still has all of his teeth!! T.J.
would do best in a very active house. He is constantly moving and checking everything and everybody out.
If you are a stay at home person and love to take walks, T.J. is for you. Or if you are constantly on the go
and want to take a buddy with you, check him out. But when he slows down, he wants nothing but to cuddle
with his special person. No children under 12 for T.J.'s new family. He has some issues and if you want to
take anything he considers his, he will take it back. Remember, I said he still has all of this teeth. T.J. is
located in central Missouri and we don't ship our animals. If you are interested in learning more about T.J.
or want to adopt T.J., please email his foster mom at slh_shorty@yahoo.com

Doogie (We renamed Scrappy… he is now Doogie)
I am a 1 ½ year young 13 lb. neutered male Yorkie. I was bought for an 8 year old boy who grew tired of
having me after a year. I didn’t have anyone to play with and my owner was not a “dog person.” I lived with
a cat so I am cat-compatible. I am in a foster family right now and I like my foster Mom and Dad as well as
their other small dogs. I love to play with my toys. No matter how many times you throw my toy I will run and
fetch it and return it to your feet…over and over again. I love to play! I am also a real cuddle-bug; at least
that is what my Foster Mom calls me. I give kisses and hugs and love curling up on the sofa with her and
my foster Dad. As my foster Mom writes this about me I am quietly asleep by her feet. If you tell me “No” I
will listen. I am not a barker unless the doorbell rings, other than that I am pretty quiet. My only problem is
that I am not completely housebroken however my foster Mom says I am improving rapidly. My previous
owner just didn’t let me go out when I needed to and then got angry at me when I had an accident. But if
you give me a chance I promise I will learn! I just need some guidance and some patience. I am such a
young boy; won’t you give me a “forever” home?
