Update on Sunshine
I think I have seen enough of that vet place but I know that it is in my best
interest. I had an intestinal infection and had to take antibiotics which cleared
that up. I have had my Vaccinations and heartworm check and am now on
heartworm preventive. I had a Dental which cleared up lots of infection but I
had to lose several teeth. The vet also discovered that I had some Nasal
Fissures (holes from my mouth to my nose left by some earlier tooth
extraction) so I had another surgery to close those. The good news is that my
kidney tests show some improvement (I am staying in the normal range and
have lowered a little) so there is hope that I am not in Kidney failure but may
have sustained some permanent minor kidney damage because of all the drugs
and medicine. Also my liver enzymes are a little elevated which may also be
due to the drugs, surgeries, infections etc. My foster mom says she loves
having me around and will keep working until she gets me in good health…….
She just knows that that will happen!! My vet bills are currently up to $555.59.
They would be more if I did not have a generous vet who gave me a discount.
